Every forex book review of Jelle Peters’ Forex for Ambitious Beginners notes that reading other introductory materials is highly recommended before getting this book. Peters fails to define concepts that are vital to understanding the discussion altogether since Forex for Ambitious Beginners only explains these concepts using jargon. It is assumed that the book is meant for new traders, but beginners will find that they need to look for the definitions of certain words or have to figure out what certain phrases mean before they can thoroughly understand what Peters is talking about. This problem is consistent throughout Forex for Ambitious Beginners, but it does force novice traders to spend hours upon hours learning one concept after the other. However, this is unlikely the author’s aim.
Forex for Ambitious Beginners is a decent read and can be quite entertaining. Despite Peters’ thoroughness in some of the chapters of this book, the material would have benefitted from providing actual trading examples and including more charts to help traders understand trading better.
The language is quite straightforward, and it is clear enough for traders who have already read several introductory books about currency trading and the forex market. Traders who have read a good number of introductory materials will benefit from getting this book. Traders who know nothing about currency trading as a whole, on the other hand, should stay away from Forex for Ambitious Beginners until they have more basic knowledge.
