By IFC Markets
Synopsis:
Written by the team behind established broker IFC Markets, this book is aimed at people who want to know about the basics of the CFD world. It’s a particularly short book, but it’s one that many people who are just launching a CFD trading career will find helpful as a basic introduction to what is often an all-new area.
Review:
This book seeks to provide an introductory overview into the CFD trading universe, and this is something that it does well – which makes it ideal for those who are at the very outset of their trading experience.
Written by the team at broker IFC Markets, it’s got some expert insights on offer. It clearly explains what a CFD is and how it can be traded, and it breaks down some of the more complicated concepts involved in CFD trading, such as the difference between a traditional financial instrument and a derivative, as well as the importance of selecting the right CFD provider.
It also looks at the different types of CFD available and touches on index CFDs, stock CFDs and more.
The message of the book, however, is limited somewhat by the fact that it is so short. At just 12 pages, it’s suitable mostly as a very basic introduction to the world of CFDs – and it can’t compete with the more detailed alternatives on offer from other authors.
As a way to find out what CFDs are and the basics of CFD trading, this book from IFC Markets can help – but it can only function as a research starting point rather than as a comprehensive guide.
